Within our catalogue of equipment for the transport and handling of solids from SOTECMA are bucket elevators or also known as vertical elevators.
This equipment of great use in the primary and secondary industry, is designed in a standardized modular way for the vertical transport of solid bulks, both wet and dry, and is ideal especially when a conventional conveyor is not enough, there is a too steep slope or a great height.
The process or principle of operation of a bucket elevator, as for much of the transport equipment, is very simple.
1. First, the bulk cargo is placed in a hopper.
2. Subsequently, the buckets collect that bulk, either from the hopper or through the dredging process in a progressive way.
3. Subsequently, the buckets are raised by a conveyor belt, to which they are attached. This belt moves thanks to the reduction motor, transporting the buckets, as well as their bulk cargo to the top.
4. Once it reaches the highest point, the bucket itself unloads thanks to the centrifugal force generated by the belt.
